Steps to fix “Replica is inconsistent” – Evnt ID 3106

After installing System Center 2012 R2 DPM I had hoped it just worked, but I was met with a continous “Replica is inconsistent” error when doing Bare Metal and System State backups and just plain error on my Exchange Server.
