Exchange 2013: Error Event ID 1006 – MSExchangeDiagnostics

After turning on performance pointers I’ve begun receiving a lot of strange errors. Not least this Event ID1006 complaining about disk Space, as there are almost 2TB free.

While looking for a solution, it became clear it was actually a bug in CU2 and the solution was to turn the “DatabaseDriveSpaceTrigger” on from “True” to “False”

Edit the following file:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\Bin\Microsoft.Exchange.Diagnostics.Service.exe.config

Search for “databasedrivespacetrigger” and change the “True” to False
